Meet The Authentic Rebel Pet Family
At The Authentic Rebel, we're in love with our fur babies, as there is nothing more authentic than four (or two)-legged creatures living to share their hearts and souls with us humans. We have so much to learn from them, so we'll be charting the lessons learned and fun moments with our pet family, which consists of four dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, and the many flocks of birds that visit our bird feeders every day.
Born in NSW Australia on March 3, 2009, Jude instantly captivated the heart of his mom Heidi. He was her protector, heart, and goofball. Adjusting to life without him in 2023 has been rough, but we see him in every adventure, in every sunset, and in his younger sibling Winny, whom he helped train and mold.
Born on May 10, 2014, George was discovered as a tiny kitten living under a car. He was adopted without a thought and helped his mom face her mother's bout with cancer. He'd sleep next to her and calm her with his purrs. As he grew, he became both a charmer and willful troublemaker.Â
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Lola loves traveling, outdoor adventures, cuddling for hours and hours, and bossing her younger siblings around. She recently overcame a major surgery and near-death experience that her doctors couldn't quite explain. She's a hero in every way.
Born in Southern California on February 19, 2019, Orchid was adopted from a shelter. A few moments after her adopted mom walked up to the cage she was housed in, Orchid let out a loud yelp and claimed her family. She's loving, kind, and amazingly smart. She loves her brother George and convinces him to groom her every day.
Rose was discovered in a PetSmart in 2020 with a horrid ringworm infection. After much treatment, her mane turned healthy and she was more than grateful. Every morning and evening, her sweetness warms our hearts. She loves to have her ears rubbed and to be softly brushed. Give her the choice and she'd eat every veggie in the fridge.
Ruby was also discovered at PetSmart and was Rose's bedmate. She overcame a horrible ringworm infection and went on to become an avid explorer and snack eater. She's not a cuddler, but we know she loves us. She tends to express her feelings by bellowing through the house to let us know she needs something... usually dandelion greens or hay.
Winny was born in Ohio on March 14, 2023. Upon adopting her, it quickly became apparent that she is the life of the party. She's got a great sense of humor, loves to adventure with us on road trips, and is as fast as lightning. If you see her on the sidewalk, please say "hello" because she can barely handle it when she's ignored.Â
Henry also hails from Ohio and was born on May 15, 2023. We love watching the way he disarms both dogs (and cats) with licks. It all started in the dog park when he was terrified when random dogs barreled toward him... he'd lick em' in the nose. He's Winny's best friend, a talented fetcher, and the best cuddle bug you can ask for.Â
And finally, there is Archie. He shares a birthday with Gwenyth Paltrow (September 27, 2023) and is a certified Libra. In the short time we've known him, it's clear he's an adventurer, loves to ride in the car, and isn't afraid to express himself. Much like Gwenyth, Archie appears to know what he wants, when he wants it. At the end of the day, he loves to curl up with his mom and snooze the night away.
