I think when we’re having open conversations such as these, it fosters a sense of community rather than pure consumption. It really is what you make it though. Someone can simply read through these, having never commented and they would be in a consumer holding judgment rather than a community member providing insight.

This platform invites more open discussion so I think you’re heading in a great direction. I’d prefer no “video only” content, but having the ability to add video to enhance/supplement an article or discussion may be nice.
